He Means a Lot to Me

He means a lot to me. It’s not that hard to see.
Whenever he’s around somehow he makes me feel secure.
He may not always say the things that he should say.
But when he does you know he means them, so they mean that little bit more.
There’s something in his manner so beguiling.
His smile’s enough to light the darkest sky.
I can’t explain to you the changes I’ve been through.
Then love has never held a guarantee.
But if I ever lost him a part of me would die.
He means a lot, I think that you know why.

I offer my advice, and often pay the price
But never do I feel somehow he means to let me down
He’ll touch me in a way that makes me know I’ll stay
And if he can’t express himself, I guess, he’ll never let me drown.
Sometimes he fails to see I’m right beside him
But right or wrong that’s where I choose to be.
And if in turn my fate is being made to wait
Then wait I will like bark clings to a tree.
For I’m not sure how I’d survive were I to set him free
He means so much so very much to me.

(BREAK)

There’s something in his manner so beguiling.
His smile’s enough to light the darkest sky.
I can’t explain to you the changes I’ve been through.
Then love has never held a guarantee.
But should I ever lose him a part of me would die.
It’s not that hard to see.
He means a lot.
Yes he means so much,
So very much to me.
